2007 6FTM Yellow Label Ripe Pu-erh Cake

This ripe Pu-erh cake is blended with tea material that was fermented in 2003, so the cake does not have fermented taste, the mellow liquor of this Pu-erh is thick and heavy with a sweet and pleasant woody aftertaste. Six-Famous-Tea-Mountain used also their remainder wrapper paper that were printed in 2003 for this cake. Some people suggest we offer this tea like an aged Pu-erh, but the tea was indeed compressed in 2007.

PREPARATION: To prepare Pu-erh tea from cakes, carefully pry out the desired amount leaves and place in a teapot. Rinse by covering with boiling water and quickly pour off. Cover with boiling water again and let steep 5-30 seconds (depending on how light or dark you want the tea) and serve. Pu-erh tea can be steeped 10-20 times.
